What are the electronegativity trend exceptions? What is the general trend?

The trend is that across (left to right) a group electronegativity increases and up a period it also increases.
I am unaware of any exceptions to this trend.

Not sure if there are any exceptions to this trend, but it might be a good idea to take a quick look at the electronegativity periodic table. You'll be able to see for yourself the electronegativites of each element and be able to see the trends.

I do not think there are exceptions to the electronegativity trend which goes up and to the right on the periodic table

Return to “Electronegativity”
