Atomic radius increases down a group and decreases left to right across a period.

Generally, the smaller the atomic radius, the higher the electronegativity. So as you go right on the periodic table, atomic radius decreases and electronegativity increases. As you go down, atomic radius increases and electronegativity decreases. This is because the nucleus has a stronger hold on the electrons and therefore the atom is more likely to gain an electron. However, noble gases have very low electronegativity as they are already stable because of their full shell.

Atomic radius increases down a group and decreases across a period(from left to right). Electronegativity decreases down a group and increases across a period (left to right).

The atomic radius of an atom increases as you go down the periodic table and towards the left.

The smaller the atomic radius, the higher the electronegativity.

Atomic radius increases as you move down and left of the periodic table, whereas electronegativity increases as you move right and up.

Atomic size decreases across the period and increases down the group while electronegativity increases across the period and decreases down the group.

From left to right across a period of elements, electronegativity increases. From top to bottom down a group, electronegativity decreases.
