Determining Electronegavity with three atoms

Postby Angel Gutierrez 2E » Wed Dec 09, 2020 10:24 pm

What is the connection between electronegativity and oxyacids? How do you determine the electronegativity between three atoms?

Typically, you can predict the general strength of oxyacids based off electronegativity and the oxidation number of the central nonmetal atom. The acid strength will increase as the electronegativity of the central atom increases.
