Dipole Moment of C and H
Even though there is a difference of electronegativity between C and H, why do we ignore it and say there is no dipole moment? Is it because it isn't significant enough?

I don't think it is ignored, but in the case of CH4, there is no dipole moment because the tetrahedral structure will cancel out the dipoles, therefore making it nonpolar.

There are diploe moments present with C and H so nothing is ignored. However, in molecules such as methane (CH4), the symmetrical tetrahedral shape has each of these dipole vectors canceling out, making the whole molecule nonpolar. These dipole moments are still in play though when considering the molecule and are not ignored.
