How to tell if a molecule has a dipole moment?

You can tell by the difference in electronegativity I think. If one atom in a molecule has a high electronegativity and another atom in the molecule has a low electronegativity, then there is a dipole moment. So basically one side is more positive and one side is more negative. The dipole moment is shown by drawing an arrow pointing towards the more electronegative side of the molecule. Hope this helps!
