Exercise 2E.1

Postby ChelseaMoraDis2G » Sat Nov 09, 2024 6:53 pm

Good evening! I had a question about Exercise 2E.1. For the ball-and-stick model in part B, how can the shape remain linear (180 degrees bond angle) if there may be a lone pair on the central atom according to the answer key?

Thank you in advance!

The question asks for whether there are, maybe, or are none. tHis case there are no lone pairs
