Organic Molecules

Postby Azlyn Hernandez 2E » Sun Dec 10, 2023 6:15 pm

I'm having a hard time drawing out organic compounds. Like for H2CNH2COOH I did not think the Nitrogen would be on the end. Any tips for drawing organic structures?

What usually helps me is breaking down the molecule. So in the example you provided, you can break it down into H2C, NH2, and COOH. Usually in organic molecules the carbon atoms are bonded, thus it means the NH2 is going to be at an end. So it will be in this bonding order H2NCH2OCOH.
