Listing all Bond Angles

Postby Ryan Fang 1D » Sun Nov 19, 2017 3:55 pm

Is it important to list every single bond angle of a molecule? For example, SF6 has an octahedral shape and normally, I would say that all the bond angles are 90 degrees. However, there are bond angles in an octahedral shape that are 180 degrees, such as the bond angle between axial F, S atom, and the other axial F. How important is it to list these bond angles?

I think we should list all of the bond angles present in the molecule.

ya I think you can kind of group together bond of equal angle but for the most part we are supposed to label each of them^
