Molecules with lone pairs

Postby Taizha 1C » Sun May 27, 2018 8:28 pm

If we were to encounter a molecule with a single lone pair electron on the central atom, how would we began to determine the shape?

Because the single unpaired electron is a region of high electron density, it's treated like a lone pair when determining molecular shape.
