Electronic geometry describes the shape of a molecule based on the number and arrangement of electron pairs around a central atom. Molecular geometry is describing the shape of the molecule in terms of bonds. So if a molecule had 3 sigma bonds and 1 lone pair, its electronic geometry would be tetrahedral but its molecular geometry would be trigonal pyramidal.

So electronic geometry is based on the number of regions of electron density right?

Yup! You can have different molecules with the same electronic geometry but different molecular geometries
