Is the AXE (A:Central atom, X:Bonded atom, E:Lone Pair) notation on Test 3?

I don't thin AXE will be on the test specifically but VESPR and bond angles should be.

A= central atom. X= bound atom. E= Lone pair of electrons. AXE could potentially be on test 3 if we are talking about the VSEPR notation of an end atom. For example, OCN- will have a triple bond between C and N and then the N atom will have a lone pair, so the VSEPR notation of the N atom will be AXE I believe. Generally VSEPR is only asked about the central atom so we probably need not worry about this.

I Believe the VSEPR will be on the test when asked to draw the Lewis structure and naming the shape of it.

As far as I know, they should be mean the same thing. I've seen them being used interchangeably.

The AXE notation is on the exam and it will probably be the same on the final.

Recognizing the VSEPR formula is very helpful for naming the shapes of each molecule so I would recommend learning these. I'm sure this will pop up on the final so you should probably get used to giving the AXE(formula), bond angles, and shape for each molecule given.
