### Seesaw

Are the bond angles for the seesaw shape <120 degrees and <180 or is it 90 and 120?

The angles for seesaw is <90 and <120 because for a normal trigonal bipyramidal, the bond angles are 90 and 120 so if you replaced one of the atoms with a lone pair, then it would repel the others, causing the bond angles to become smaller.

The bond angles for see saw would be slightly less than 90 from the atom on the axial axis and equatorial axis. And for the atoms on the equatorial axis, the angle would be slightly less than 120. This is due to the lonep pair that is present in the see saw structure.

The bond angles would be slightly less than 90 and slightly less than 120; this is due to the fact that repulsion from the lone pairs causes the angles of the bonds to be slightly smaller since they are being pushed together.

The trigonal bipyramidal molecular shape normally has bond angle 90 and 120 but because the lone pairs repeal each other the bond angles are <120 and <90

Since there is an electron pair , instead of having a 90 and 120 bond angle twist have a <120 and <90 bond angle

The bond angles for see saw would be slightly less than 90 and slightly less than 120. The reason is that the lone pair on the equatorial axis will repel the atoms on both the axial axis and equatorial axis.

The bond angles of a seesaw would be less than 120 degrees between the equatorial bonds, and less than 90 degrees between the axial and equatorial bonds.

The bond angles for a seesaw shape will be a little bit less than 90 and 120 degrees due to the lone pairs' repulsion pushing the bonds slightly.

I think less than 180 is also acceptable if you're considering the angle created by the top, middle, and bottom atoms in this structure
