Bond Angles

Postby Lelija Kazlauskas 3J » Sun Nov 10, 2019 7:23 pm

Why do molecules have specific bond angles? Is it something to do with the electrons?

Bond angles have to do with the molecular geometry of a molecule which is influenced by the number of bonds and unshared pairs a molecule has.

According to the VSPER theory, lone pair electrons will repel each other, therefore, pushing other atoms in specific angles.
