I believe exam 2 will cover everything Lavelle has covered since the material which was included on the midterm. I think it begins with correcting the ionic and covalent models with polarizability and dipole moments and also includes the intermolecular forces we have been going over such as London forces. I believe it will also cover whatever material he introduces in lecture this week including VSEPR models.

I think it would be too much for Lavelle to include past midterm topics on the next test; the next time we'll be tested on them will probably be on the final.
