Re: Test 2
My TA said that test 2 would be everything that was not on midterm up to what we learn in class on Friday. So, things such as like dipole-dipole, intermolecular forces, and VSEPR theory.

Re: Test 2
I'm going to do all of the homework problems starting from section 3F up until what we learn in lecture tomorrow, and watch some videos online for extra help!

Re: Test 2
I talked to my TA and he told me that the test should be pretty much bust all of outline 4 i think.
Re: Test 2
Would just doing homework problems be the best option? A lot of people from last year said test 2 was harder than test 1 but im not understand how, if we only learned a couple of things after the midterm.
Re: Test 2
I think going over outline 4 and doing all the homework problems would be a good way to study.

Re: Test 2
Suggestions to study:
-VSEPR models
-dipoles
-molecular shape names... MEMORIZE (e.g. trigonal planar)
we honestly have not learned much since after the midterm

Re: Test 2
Definitely get started on homework from Outline 4, also review the intermolecular forces.
Re: Test 2
It should be on everything after the midterm up to Friday's lecture. So studying all the lecture notes and homework problems would be beneficial.

Re: Test 2
I think it would be important to go over the points in the outline and making sure that you understand all of them.

Re: Test 2
I'm using lots of flashcards to memorize the specific shapes and bond angles. Do you think that this will be the same level of difficulty as test 1 or will it be closer to what we had for the midterm?

Re: Test 2
I'm reading over the textbook sections relevant to the topics tested on the midterm to get a grasp of the conceptual ideas, and then I'm going to do the homework problems. Looking over lecture notes and solving problems is probably the way to go!
