During lecture on 11/15, Dr. Lavelle said molecules with the same formula will have the same general shape. Can someone list all of the different formulas and the corresponding general shape please? Thank you

Some common formulas for general shapes are:
AX2 - Linear
AX3 - Trigonal Planar
AX4 - Tetrahedral
AX4E - Trigonal Bipyramidal
AX4E2 - Square Planar
AX3E - Trigonal Pyramidal
AX2E2 or AXE - Bent or Angular
AX6 - Octahedral

Here is an exhaustive list of all the shapes that I can think of:

AX2 - Linear
AX3 - Trigonal Planar
AX2E1 - Bent
AX4 - Tetrahedral
AX3E1 - Trigonal Pyramidal
AX2E2 - Bent
AX5 - Trigonal Bipyramidal
AX4E1 - Seesaw
AX3E2 - T-shaped
AX2E3 - Linear
AX6 - Octahedral
AX5E1 - Square Pyramidal
AX4E2 - Square Planar

This photo is from the textbook of all the shapes we should know for test 2.

The book names what Dr. Lavelle called "bent" as "angular" which is the correct term to use?

I don't think it matters too much, but I'd go with bent to be safe, but the names are interchangeable.

The VSEPR formula for pentagonal bipyramidal is AX7.
