Octahedral with lone pair(s) shape

Postby Nick Fiorentino 1E » Sat Nov 16, 2019 4:18 pm

What shape would you get if a molecule with an octahedral arrangement has one lone pair? Two lone pairs?

An octahedral with two lone pairs is a square planar, and with one lone pair, it is a square pyramid.
