Test #2

Postby Blanca Cervantes » Sat Nov 16, 2019 8:49 pm

I'm aware that Lavelle mentioned in class that test 2 will cover material not on the midterm up to Friday. However, which topics exactly will be on the test?

This is a list from my TA:
-VSEPR (determining shape)
-Use dipole moments to determine if polar or non polar
-use shame and polar/nonpolar to identify intermolecular interactions
-explain why lone pairs are more likely found in certain locations around central atom and how/why they affect bond angles
-distinguish sigma and pi bonds

Will Lavelle be covering sigma and pi bonds on Monday?

He said during lecture on Friday that he would be going over sigma and pi bonds on Monday. :)

Any points not on the midterm from Chemical Bonds section and material covered last week.
