Dipole moments

Postby Ghadir Seder 1G » Sat Nov 16, 2019 10:09 pm

When doing dipole moments, do you change one of the bond lines to an arrow? Or do you keep the bond lines the same and add an arrow?

Thank you!

not sure if this is what you're asking about, but i think you keep the bond lines the same. to show dipole you would draw an additional line with an arrow to show which side is positive and which is negative.

You would add an arrow. Make sure the bonds in the lewis structure are just lines!
