Bond Angles

Postby 405289292 » Mon Nov 18, 2019 3:56 pm

Will we have to know all of the bond angles for every structure for the quiz?

I believe so. It would probably also be helpful to know how lone pairs affect the bond angles in those shapes.

Yes, know bond angles for shapes.
Some key numbers are: 180°, 120°, 109.5°, and 90°
Lone electron pairs will push bonds closer together, making them slightly less than what those angles would be.
