Magnitude of Molecular Interactions

Postby Kallista McCarty 1C » Mon Nov 18, 2019 10:38 pm

Place the following types of molecular and ion interactions in order of increasing magnitude: a) ion-dipole, b) induced-dipole-induced-dipole, c) dipole-dipole in gas phase, d) ion-ion, e) dipole-dipole in solid phase

B=C<E<A<D

Dipole-dipole interactions are weaker in the gas phase because the molecules are farther apart
