a) What is the shape of a thionyl chloride molecule, SOCl2? Sulfur is the central atom. (b) How many different OSCl bond angles are there in this molecule? (c) What values are expected for the OSCl and ClSCl bond angles?

Its shape is trigonal pyramidal, the O-S-Cl bond angles are the same because they're on opposing sides (and chlorine repels itself equally away from itself), and the values for the bond angles are <109.5, because of the lone pair on sulfur pushing down on the bonding elements.

Because socl2 has 3 bonds and one lone pair, its shape is trigonal pyramidal. The bonds would be the same, which are less than 109.5.
