Resonance Structures and VSEPR

Postby StephanieMartis1F » Fri Oct 16, 2015 9:53 pm

Since resonance structures have different Lewis structures and some, if not most, have double bonds, do these multiple bonds show up in a VSEPR model and how are resonance structures drawn as VSEPR models?

Resonance structure is reflected in VSEPR in that the double/triple bonds appear shorter than single bonds (shorter lines in the drawings).
