Bond Angles?

How do bond angles affect the overall shape of the molecule?

Well bond angles result from electron-electron pair repulsion which in turn effects the shape. For instance, the water molecule h2o has 2 lone pairs on oxygen and 2 single bonds to each hydrogen. The electron domain shape would be tetrahedral but because it has 2 lone pairs repelling a lot it would literally bend the shape and make the bent shape we know with bond angles of less than 109.5 (about 104 degrees experimentally).
