### HW 4.33

State the hybridization of the atom in boldface type in each of the following molecules: (a) BeCl2, (b) BH3, (c) BH4-, (d) SiF4.

Do we just draw the Lewis structure and find the molecular shape in order to find the hybridization of the central atom?

Yeah, for questions about hybridization, you need to find out the number of electron densities around the central atom by drawing the Lewis structure. After you find out the number of electron density around the central atom, you can figure out the hybridization because regions of electron density equal the number of hybrid orbitals. Hope that helps :)
