Hybrid Orbitals

Can someone please explain what the following means in the textbook? It is on page 123 for reference.
h1 s + px + py + pz
h2 s - px - py + pz
h3 s - px + py - pz
h4 s + px - py - pz

It is different combinations of the s, px, py, pz orbitals being in-phase (+) and out-of-phase (-).

these represents the different possible combinations for the orbitals of s, px, py, pz

does this mean that it could have an s and a pz but not the px or py (like h2)? would the orbitals not go in order?
