pi bonds and sigma bonds
Hi. I am still having trouble with Pi bonds and sigma bonds how do you draw them out on your own, how do you recognize which is which. Does anyone have a video or resource they use to understand this?

Re: pi bonds and sigma bonds
Hi, I found a good link that might help
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YcSPPKESpwc
But i like to think of it as a sigma bond is a single bond, whereas a pi bond is the second or third bond of the ligand. This video goes more in depth about it. Hope that helps!

All bonds have one sigma bond. Double bonds have one sigma bond and one pi bond. Triple bonds have one sigma bond and 2 pi bonds.
