the greater the s character, the closer the orbitals are to the nucleus. This will give the molecule a stronger bond, so sp3<sp2<sp.

Hybridization is related to bond strength such that the bond strength increases as the s character increases in the bond. Therefore, the sp hybridization has a stronger bond strength than sp2, sp2 is stronger than sp3, and etc. This is because the s-orbital is closer to the nucleus than p or d-orbitals, so the s-orbital has a stronger pull to the nucleus. This strong pull to the nucleus in s-orbitals creates a stronger bond between two atoms.
