Hybridization and Hybrid Orbitals

Postby taywebb » Sun Nov 25, 2018 2:43 pm

Can someone please explain to me the difference between hybridization of the central atom and the hybrid orbitals used by the central atom? (If there is a difference?)

Hi!

hybridization state of the central atom is the same thing as the hybrid orbitals of the central atom! Just a different way to phrase it I believe.
