Hybrid Orbitals

Does the regions of electron density equal the number of hybrid orbitals.

yes. each bond or lone pair around an atom can be added together to find the number of hybrid orbitals

The number of hybrid orbitals equals the number of atomic orbitals mixed. The number of hybrid orbitals is equal to the steric number which the number of sigma bonds plus number of lone pairs of electrons around the atom.

Yes, the number of regions of electron density include bond and lone pairs, which is equal to hybrid orbitals.
