hybridization on the test?

Is Hybridization on the test? or is it only until sigma and pi bonds?

From what I have heard, we will only be tested on sigma and pi bonds. Studying hybridization can help you understand sigma and pi bonds more, though!

hybridization is not on test 2, it only covers material up to sigma and pi bonds!

The announcement on his website said the material on the test covers material after midterm to end of sigma and pi bonds. So there will not be hybridization

For the sigma and pi bonds, will we just have to identify where they occur and what their function is?

You need to know how they are presented in bonds. So if there's a single bond, then there's only a sigma. If it's a double bond, it's sigma and pi, etc. It should also be on your notes, where Lavelle showed one bond, double, and so forth.

Best of luck!

I think it's best to know how they relate to hybridization, but really only sigma and pi bonds I think.

No. There will not be hybridization on test 2. But I still recommend studying it early since it will eventually be on the final :)
