Hybridization
Why does the bond angle between two hybrid orbitals increase as the s-character of the hybrids is increased?

Re: Hybridization
This occurs because we have more s orbitals that end up contributing to electron repulsion which makes the bond angles increase.

Re: Hybridization
The bond angle would increase when the s character increases because there is a decrease in the p character, which would mean less electron densities around the central atom.

Re: Hybridization
Like the person above said, when the s character increases because there is a decrease in the p character. This means that there are less lone pairs and bonds contributing to the hybridization number. So if there are less lone pairs and bond overall, the bond angle between atoms in the molecule increases.
