could someone explain the different hybrid orbitals? for example, would there be a hybrid orbital with p4? what would be the orbital with 6 electron densities? 7?

The number of hybrid orbitals is simply the number of regions of electron density around the central bonding atom. An sp4 hybrid orbital is not possible since there are only three p orbitals. If there are more than 4 regions of electron density, d orbitals would be used such as sp3d2 for 6 regions of electron density and theoretically sp3d3 for 7 regions, although I'm sure that we only have to deal with up to 6 density regions.
