Pi bonds do not affect hybridization. They are generally p orbitals that have not hybridized that are overlapping side by side.

These lobes are often parallel to each other unlike sigma bonds which overlap directly.

I tend to think of hybridization in terms of areas of electron density. So you can figure out hybridization by counting the number of sigma bonds and lone pairs.
