Midterm

Postby Gina_Chiarolla_3C » Sat Oct 29, 2016 1:21 pm

On Chemistry Community, it says the midterm covers all info through page 105 in the course reader, which does not include Molecular Orbital Energy Level Diagrams. But in previous midterms, they have questions that include these diagrams. Do we need to know how to produce these diagrams for the midterm?

As I announced in class:
All material to the end of hybridization.
Molecular Orbital Theory is not on the midterm. :-)

Will we responsible for knowing how to write out the valence electron configuration for molecules for the midterm?

Will we be responsible for knowing the bond angles for VESPR models?

Yeah we should probably be familiar with the bond angles of different shapes because I think some of the past midterms asked you to find at least one bond angle based on a lewis structure.
