As far as MO theory goes there are not practice questions on the quiz that address it, but I thought I remembered it being included in things that would be on Quiz #3. I just wanted to see if anyone could give me a solid answer on whether MO would or would not be on Quiz #3.

Yes. I'm pretty sure that MO theory will be on the exam. We covered it in class and it wasn't on the midterm so its safe to say that its going to be on there

There are some practice questions from the Quiz 2 preparations that actually covered MOs.

Does anyone know if everything in the quiz 3 preparation will be on the quiz? For example I know that MO diagrams will be on the quiz even though it's not in the preparation. It looks like some things we just went over today is on there?

From what I have heard, not everything from the Quiz 3 prep quizzes will be on the test. Some problems require ICE box and that is not in the first four pages of the course reader. Only material up to page 135 in the course reader is fair game.

Yes, it says on the class website that molecular orbital theory will be covered on the quiz.

MO will be on the quiz but some complex problems about equilibrium that as mentioned require ICE box will not be. Its similar to our last quiz that the prep quizzes had info not going to be on the quiz. Its safe to stick to knowing everything up to page I believe 135.

Does anyone know is the Quiz 2 preparation questions that are pertinent to quiz 3, and weren't graded last time, will be checked as part of prep for quiz 3?
