Pi bond vs. sigma bond question

Postby Emmy Son 4f » Sat Dec 03, 2016 12:21 am

Is this correct?
S orbital + S orbital = sigma bond
S orbital + P orbital = sigma bond
P orbital +P orbital = Pi bond

Two p-orbitals can also overlap end-to-end to form a sigma bond.
