4.46 Describe the structure of the formamide molecule, HCONH2, in terms of hybrid orbitals, bond angles, and sigma and pi bonds. The C atom is bonded to one H atom, a terminal O atom, and the N atom. The N atom is also bonded to two H atoms.
Do you get the sigma and pi bonds for the entire molecule or just for the central atom?

Like the similar problem 4.45, the question asks you to find the sigma and pi bonds for the entire molecule.

As stated before, you will need to find the total sigma and pi bonds in the molecule. This will involve counting the single bonds for sigma bonds and characterizing the excess bonds as pi bonds.
