(a) Draw a Lewis structure for each of the following species: CH3 ; CH4; CH3 ; CH2; CH22 ; CH22 . (b) Identify each as a radical or not.

How do you identify if they're radicals or not?

A radical is a molecule that contains at least one unpaired electron. Most molecules contain even numbers of electrons. CH3 would be a radical because it has 7 electrons total. C(4)+ 3H(1)=7 electrons. I hope this helped a little bit!

Usually radicals have an odd number an electrons because they have at least one unpaired electron.
