Drawing sigma & Pi bonds
When drawing the sigma and pi bonds is it basically just circling the bonds and mentioning its hybridization?

Sigma and Pi bonds have their own shapes. A sigma bond is more like an oval, while a Pi bond looks like a single macaroni of Kraft Mac n Cheese
Re: Drawing sigma & Pi bonds
For the final, would we actually need to be able to draw the shape of the molecules and show the sigma and pi bonds?

^^^ I am not sure if we have to draw them but it we definitely have to label them and know that pi bonds restrict rotation

Re: Drawing sigma & Pi bonds
the most important thing is knowing where sigma and pi bonds are located and their orientation; sigma bonds are end to end while pi bonds are side by side

Re: Drawing sigma & Pi bonds
How would u represent sigma bonds being end to end or side by side in the case of pi bonds in terms of drawing it?

Re: Drawing sigma & Pi bonds
You can represent end to end by drawing 2 infinity signs next to each other and represent side to side by drawing two 8’s next to each other

We shouldn't have to, but we did for test two so you never know.
