Energy Levels of Different Orbitals

When drawing a molecular orbital diagram I know the structure of where you place each orbital, for example a sigma 2s bond depends on that orbital's respective energy level. So I understand why a pi bond is higher energy than a sigma bond since pi bonds are mainly involved in double and triple bonding. However, I am having trouble understanding why antibonding bonds have more energy than bonding bonds and the difference between the Px, Py, and Pz orbital energy levels.

Electrons in an antibonding orbital are higher in energy due to electron-electron repulsion.
