Naming Coordination Compounds
What is the easiest may to remember how to name coordination compounds? Also how to remember which elements go first and tell which is the ligand?

Follow the formula we learned in class!
greek prefix + ligand names in alphabetical order + TM cation name (Roman numeral).
The ligands are the molecules attached to the central cation.

You list the ligands alphabetically with prefixes for quantity and then the metal with its oxidation state in parentheses.
