What does (en) mean in coordination compounds. (Question 4 of Gabriel Nitro's Final Review)

I believe the (en) notation is just referring to a type of ligand. Upon further research, I think it is called the ethylenediamene ligand, and two nitrogen atoms donate their lone pairs of electrons to the compound.

(en) refers to ethlyenediamine (NH2CH2CH2NH2). It is a ligand that makes two bonds with a transition metal (which is what we call a bidentate ligand).
