Coordination Compounds

I was wondering if we have to memorize the chart in the course reader (pg.117) or will it be provided?

You need to know ligands and identify them.

The same equations, constants, and periodic table given in Test 1 and Exam 1 will be provided in Test 2 and Exam 2.

How do we know if we should use the new IUPAC names or the old ones when naming coordination compounds?
