17.31 a

Hi can someone walk through the charges and how to identify them going from the name to the formula, I'm confused because to my understanding Chromate implies it has a negative one charge because of the "ate" at the end, cyano is a negative one charge and there's 6, and I don't know if the (III) applies to the potassium or the chromate. also for do charges of elements outside the bracket contribute to the overall charge?

I am also struggling to understand why the three goes with the potassium instead of the chromium.
