questions about 9C.3 7th edition

Postby Andie Jian 1D » Sat Dec 01, 2018 6:26 pm

For part c of this question, the formula for tetraamminediaquacobalt(III) is [Co(NH3)4(OH2)2]Br3. However, in the solution manual instead of OH2, it is written as H2O. Does anybody know why this is?

Also, in part d of this question, the formula for sodium bisoxalato(diaqua)ferrate(III) is written as Na[Fe(OH2)2(C2O4)2]. Why does OH2 come before C2O4?

OH2 and H20 are interchangeable and refer to the same compound.
