Postby Nick Fiorentino 1E » Sat Nov 23, 2019 10:25 pm

When is it appropriate to use the English and latin name of an element when naming a coordination compound?

Latin names are used for some metals in the complex anions:
Iron-->Ferrate
Copper-->Cuprate
Lead-->Plumbate
Silver -->Argenate
Gold -->Aurate
Tin-->Stannate
