Greek Prefixes

Postby Wilson 2E » Sat Nov 23, 2019 11:33 pm

I think I understand how to use the bis-, tris-, tetrakis-, etc. prefixes but can someone provide an example where this is used?

So if there's two di-methyl ethane or something like that and they're bonding together, then you'd say bismethyl ethane or whatever molecule it is. I hope this helps! :)

Adding on to the comment above, you use it so that it is not awkward saying didimethyl and it adds clarity
