Is there a difference between amine and ammine?

Are you talking about ammine for the neutral lignad: NH3 and about their spelling? If so, I was told in one of my plf's that the spelling matters in regards to points so when naming coordination compounds make sure you write ammine with double m's!

There is a difference between an amine and an ammine, and it's important to differentiate. An amine is a functional group from ammonia, while an ammine refers to a group of coordination compounds where ammonia is a ligand.
