Table 9C.1

Postby 305421980 » Mon Dec 02, 2019 9:40 pm

Should we memorize table 9C.1 for naming? Most of them are not too hard to figure out but should we still memorize all of them, even the harder ones, and the formula for the final?

I think to be safe, I would memorize them, especially since they are used in the homework problems. However, I would ask a TA or professor about this.

I would try to memorize as much as possible and after looking at it a couple times, most of it will be fairly easy to memorize because many are commonly used. As the previous person posted though, it is best to ask the T.A.

Yes, during one of the workshops I was told we will need to memorize that whole table for the final.

Do we need to have the full name of edta memorized or can we just remember the abreviation?

I was told by other people that it's highly recommended to memorize the full name

According to chem mod in another post regarding this table, it's recommended to memorize the entire table, EXCEPT for the structure of edta
